Bali Pet Crusaders is an Australian and USA registered charity created by passionate animal lovers and people who are strongly affected by the stray dog and cat population in Bali. We believe that with our Sterilisation Project we can truly make a difference to the animal welfare on the island with the help of the local and international communities.
Bali Pet Crusaders was founded and is managed by Australian animal lover, Deb Banfield. Deb served for over 20 years in the Royal Australian Navy and discharged due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other medical issues. Deb created Bali Pet Crusaders as a form of therapy and focus for her conditions and as a way of ‘giving back’ to Bali for bringing joy to her life in times when she needed it.
Yayasan Seva Bhuana Foundation is a local Balinese foundation engaged in animal care. YSB was formed to create sustainable education program for young people. Focusing on Balinese dogs, YSB is now inaugurated in 2016 by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights as the official foundation in Indonesia with the number AHU-0031832.AH.01.12 TH 2016.
All finances and records are monitored and produced by Deb Banfield. Finances are audited by Stephen Barker, CPA on a pro-bono basis. If you have any questions, please email Deb Banfield at [email protected]
We are lucky to have the pro-bono services of Brave Factor who helps us on a consistent basis to keep our brand looking fresh. We also are thankful to We Create who has developed our logo and marketing material to promote our mission.
We are thankful to have Jess Schdaowsky help us tell the stories of Bali dogs and cats through her photography. You can see more of her work @shadowsky.
With your support, we can provide affordable sterilisation of homeless and rescued Bali dogs and cats and those owned by local Indonesian families who cannot afford to pay. We are proud to be part of Yayasan Seva Bhuana.
